No. Once the event is sold out, we will not be taking any other entries or have any wait lists.

Entry fees are non-refundable.

We appreciate you, as our customer, and understand that sometimes you just can’t make the race. We have created a great policy that offers you several different options, in the event you cannot attend on race day (you may choose only one of the options below).

Defer Your Entry: You may defer your entry to next year’s event. Deferrals must be processed by the Event Registration Manager. An administration fee of 50% of the cost of the following year’s registration cost will be charged in the event you defer. Deferrals expire after 12 months. The athlete may request a deferral by submitting an email request prior to August 29, 2020.

Transfers: You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. However, bib transfers are allowed for an administration charge of $25 and must be processed through your ACTIVE MyEvents account no later than September 10, 2020. If you transfer your bib, you will receive a refund (minus the $25 administration charge) once the new participant signs up. The new participant will need to pay the full entry fee at the time of the transfer. Log into your ACTIVE.com account and select “Transfer registration” to begin the process.  If you have any questions, please email info@malibutri.com

Please check out our official rules page here for everything you need to know!

We will be holding Merrill Lynch Fundraising Swim Clinics for those who raise over $350 for CHLA

Please reach out to info@malibutri.com if you’d like to create your fundraising page!

Wetsuits are not required, but most people do choose to race in them. The water temperature is usually 62-66 degrees. We recommend XTERRA Wetsuits and they are offering a great deal to Malibu Triathlon athletes. Visit www.xterrawetsuits.com and enter the code R-MALIBU to receive 60% off your wetsuit purchase.

Are you looking for a new bike for your training and racing? Be sure to test ride a Giant Bicycle at their booth. They will be at the Malibu Triathlon presented by Bank of America expo all weekend, where they will have technicians on hand to help you make sure your bike is ready for the race.

Newbury Park Bike Shop also offers bikes rentals! Please contact ben@npbikeshop.com if you have any questions.

The mountain bike division is for those people who are racing using a mountain bike instead of a road bike.  The width of your tires must be 1.75 inches or larger.  These tires can be smooth, knobby, or with tread.
