For more than five decades, the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute has been saving children’s lives and working to increase cure rates through innovative clinical care, research programs, academic excellence and global leadership. It is the largest pediatric hematology-oncology program of its kind in the western U.S.
The Institute is the highest ranked pediatric hematology-oncology program in California and No. 5 in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report. The Center has been continuously ranked in the top ten every year since the rankings were launched in 2009.

The 2XU Malibu Triathlon presented by Bank of America has raised more than $15 million to date for pediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The Malibu Triathlon and CHLA have enjoyed an amazing 14 years of partnership and looks forward to continue working with and raising important funds for CHLA.
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles honored the incredible fundraising efforts of the Malibu Triathlon and all of our amazing Corporate and Entertainment Industry Teams by naming the lobby of the Pediatric Cancer floor “The Malibu Triathlon Lobby.”
